Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data our games use, why, and what choices you have. It covers Mistharbor Curios (web game, also available on Facebook Instant Games) and Jump Fun (Facebook Instant Game).
What we collect and why
On Facebook Instant Games (Mistharbor Curios and Jump Fun): through the Facebook Instant Games platform we access your Facebook player ID, display name, and profile photo, and we store your game progress using the platform's storage, including cloud save mirroring of your progress. We use this only to run the game — to identify your save, restore your progress across sessions, and show your name and photo in the game where the platform provides them.
In the web version of Mistharbor Curios: your game progress is saved in your browser's local storage, on your own device. In addition, our self-hosted backend (Supabase) stores:
- a random device identifier generated by the game (not tied to your name or accounts);
- gameplay event statistics — anonymous records of events such as session starts and chapter starts/completions, which we use to understand how the game is played and to fix problems;
- feedback messages that you voluntarily type and submit through the in-game feedback form, so we can read and respond to them.
What we do not do: we do not operate our own account system, we do not sell personal data, our current builds do not integrate any third-party advertising SDK, and we do not process payments on this website.
Cookies and local storage
Our games use your browser's local storage to keep your save game and settings on your device. This site itself sets no tracking cookies. Platforms that host our games (such as Facebook and CrazyGames) may use their own cookies under their own policies, as described below.
Third-party platforms
When you play our games on Facebook Instant Games or CrazyGames, those platforms process data under their own privacy policies, which govern the data they hold. We only receive and use the data described above. Please see Facebook's Privacy Policy and CrazyGames' Privacy Policy for how they handle your information.
Data retention
Local saves remain on your device until you clear them. Backend records (device identifier, event statistics, and feedback messages) are kept for as long as they are useful for operating and improving the games, and are deleted on request as described below. Platform-side saves are retained according to the relevant platform's policies.
Your rights and how to request deletion
You may ask us what data we hold that is associated with you, and you may request its deletion. To request deletion of Mistharbor Curios data, follow the steps on our Mistharbor Curios data deletion page. For Jump Fun, see the Jump Fun data deletion page. You can also write to us at dawngames2017@gmail.com from any email address — please tell us which game your request is about.
Children
Our games are not directed at children below the minimum age required in their country of residence, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them beyond what the hosting platforms provide as described above. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its "Last updated" date.
