Data Deletion Instructions — Mistharbor Curios
What data the game uses
Mistharbor Curios is a web game, also available as a Facebook Instant Game. In the web version, your game progress is saved in your own browser's local storage. Our backend also keeps records tied to a random device identifier generated by the game: gameplay event statistics, and any feedback messages you voluntarily submit through the in-game feedback form. On Facebook Instant Games, the game accesses your Facebook player ID, display name and profile photo through the platform, and stores your progress using the platform's storage (including cloud save mirroring). The game does not operate its own account system.
How to request deletion of your data
- Delete your local save (web version): In your browser, clear the site data / local storage for the site where you play Mistharbor Curios. This permanently deletes the progress stored on your device.
- Remove the game on Facebook (Facebook version): Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites, find Mistharbor Curios, and remove it. You may also request deletion of the data stored for the game from that same screen, if Facebook offers the option.
- Email us to delete backend records: Send an email to dawngames2017@gmail.com with the subject line "Mistharbor Curios — Data Deletion Request". We will delete the backend records associated with your device identifier — feedback messages and event statistics. If you can, tell us approximately when you played or submitted feedback, so we can locate your records.
What happens next
We will delete the backend records under our control within 30 days of verifying your request, and reply to your email to confirm completion. Data that Facebook itself stores is handled according to Facebook's Privacy Policy.
